Celebrating Quilombola History and Culture Through Cinema

Dünya Faravahar our NGO and Hydro2Green have the honor to present the exciting "QuilomboCine" project, an initiative that seeks to delve into the deep cultural roots of Quilombola and Agricula communities through the magic of cinema. Our commitment is to preserve, celebrate, and share the rich traditions, stories, and values of these unique communities, while empowering their members to tell their own narratives.

Mission: Revive, Educate, and Inspire QuilomboCine is more than just a film screening project; it is an enriching journey of discovery and empowerment. Our mission is to revive ancestral traditions, educate present and future generations about the historical significance of Quilombola communities, and inspire self-expression through cinematic art.

Impactful Activities

1. Quilombola Cinema Dialogues: We will host regular film screening sessions addressing themes related to the history, culture, and challenges faced by Quilombola communities. After each screening, we will foster constructive discussions to deepen understanding and promote awareness.

2. Cinematic Production Workshops: We will empower Quilombola community members with cinematic production techniques, from scriptwriting to editing. Our aim is to equip them with the necessary tools to authentically and impactfully convey their own stories.

3. QuilomboCine Festival: Annually, we will organize a cinematic festival exclusively dedicated to films created by Quilombola community members. This event will be a vibrant celebration of cultural diversity, providing a platform to share unique perspectives and inspire connections among communities.

Throughout QuilomboCine, we hope to achieve various positive outcomes:

- Cultural Preservation: Contribute to the preservation and transmission of Quilombola cultural traditions to future generations.
